Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa

Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa is a Pakistani political figure from Dera Ghazi Khan and a member of the Khosa Baloch tribe. He is the son of Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, a veteran politician and former Governor of Punjab.

Dost Muhammad Khosa was born on 22 October 1973. He received his early education at Aitchison College, Lahore, and later graduated from the University of the Punjab. During his time at Aitchison College, he participated in sporting activities including football, athletics and riding.

He entered public life through local government in Dera Ghazi Khan. He served as Union Council Nazim of Churratta and later became Naib District Nazim of Dera Ghazi Khan. His local-government experience established his political presence in the district before his return to provincial politics.

Khosa first entered the Punjab Assembly in 1999 after his father vacated his provincial seat upon becoming Governor of Punjab. He subsequently remained active in the political affairs of Dera Ghazi Khan and the wider Punjab province.

In the 2008 general election, he was elected to the Punjab Assembly from Dera Ghazi Khan. He was subsequently chosen as Chief Minister of Punjab, taking office in April 2008.
